Error message: "Corrupt files detected"

How to proceed when receiving the error message "Corrupt files detected on the device! A format is required. " ?

There are two different types of the "corrupt file detected" message. 


  1. The message is shown on the website
    1. Refresh the page
    2. Reconnect the device
    3. Check in the file explorer if you have access to the device and if there is a measurement file. When there is no measurement file, something probably went wrong during the setup. When there is no access possible, it's probably the second type of "corrupt file" issue, as described below.
  2. The message is shown on the website and a windows pop-up appears.
    1. Unfortunately, McRoberts is not able to solve this issue. This issue could occur for different reasons.
      1. When this refers an Axivity device, please contact Axivity support for further help.
      2. When the device (MoveMonitor) has been used a lot, it could be that problems arise in the process what leads to the corrupt file.
    2. We advise to format the device. Please be aware the measurement will be lost after this.

    3. We advise to perform a test measurement after this. The device does not have to be worn during this test measurement.
